Information Education in Japan has been showing a big progress in recent years, "intelligent Schools"and"100 school networking project"are clear examples of this progress. It will be possible to write some suggestions for Mexico by studying Japanese Information Education. In mexican elementary schools there is a lack of computer literate teachers and the curriculum does not include contents related to Information Education. In learning environment the computer can be use as a tool for network communication, simple document production, drawing and painting with graphics software, solving problems, etc. The use of multimedia programs should also be considered in schools. Although, the use of Internet is still regarded as a difficult option to be used at schools.
