1999 TAPPI International Environmental Conference was held at Nashville Tennessee on April 19 th-21 st. The co-sponsors were PAPTAC and USDA (US Department of Agriculture) Forest Service. The main theme was Environmental Quality Management : Value Added Benefits for Our Future. About 800 people got together to share and discuss their current environmental issues. There were 53 sessions and almost all the aspects were presented in more than 120 papers. This year the two new sessions-Environmental Accounting and Endocrine Disruption-appeared.
