The ISO/TC meeting was held at the Finnish Pulp and Paper Research Institute in Espoo, Finland from May 31 to June 5. A total of 90 delegates from 21 countries participated to discuss the ISO standards related to paper, board and pulps. The international meeting is-held at intervals of 18 months. The participants broke into two groups in the working group meetings from the first day to the morning on the forth day. After the TC 6/SC 5 meeting in the afternoon on the forth day and the TC 6/SC 2 meeting on the fifth day, the TC 6 general meeting was held to close the six-day meeting. Japan was recognized as a Participating Member of TC 6 on February 12, 1999. The next meeting will be held in Whistler, Canada in September 2000.
