The present report gives warning that uncleanliness of the mouth in general, and especially neglect of decayed teeth, tooth stumps and chronicdental diseases might constitute a factor or factors initiating moniliasis in oral region. In the present case, a 25-year-old female, there was an upper left wisdom tooth decayed to the state of stump which gave constant irritation to the neighboring buccal mucous membrance. This part of the mucous membrane may have lost its normal resistance and gave way to the entrance and local establishment of moniliasis.
