Osteosarcoma is a highly malignant bone tumor which may be composed of a variety of tissue and is a rare tumor, especially in the jaws. Our case is that of a 44-years old woman who had osteosarcoma of the left mandible. The radical resection of the mandible and the multiple combination chemotherapy were performed. The chemotherapeutic agents were administered by means of an intraarterial infusion (Mitomycin C, 5-Fluorouracil, Cytosine Arabinoside) and intra-venous injection (Mitomycin C, Adriamycin). After 6-months of the radical resection, the reconstruction of the mandible with the use of stainless steel mesh was performed.
