This paper considers the numerical solution of the deflection and moment of an arbitrary plate under the concentrated loads by the difference equation. We assume the deflection w(x, y) in the form [numerical formula] where W(x, y) is the general solution of the homogeneous equation ΔΔ W=0. Hence, solving W numerically by the difference equation, we can obtain the numerical values of the deflection and moment. Calculations were made for the cases of square plates with all edges built in and with all edges simply supported, and a equilateral triangular plate with all edges built in, under a concentrated load at the center for each case.
