C.B.Ling published an analysis on the strip with semicircular notches under tension, but his numerical values were found unreliable, and later the author reported a research on the same problem based on Ling's theory and the method of perturbation, with numerical results, more reliable than those given by Ling. In this paper the bending problem is treated in a similar way. The numerical results are examined with those of Ling, recently published, and other data which have been presented up to this time.
