Six fungicides for Phytophthora rot of pumpkin were evaluated in terms of their control effectiveness in the fields from 2006 to 2011. Since three or four trials were carried out per each fungicide, data were analyzed by meta-analysis using the statistical analysis software EZR. An integrated risk ratio(the ratio of incidence on treated plants to incidence on control plants)of 0.34 by treatment with cyazofamid flowable, 0.39 by dimethomorph-copper oxychloride wettable powder, 0.40 by metalaxyl M-tetrachloroisophthalonitrile(TPN)wettable powder, 0.44 by amisulbrom flowable, 0.62 by azoxystrobin-TPN flowable, and 0.66 by fosetyl wettable powder. As shown above, all six fungicides tested were effective against this disease.
