抄録

1) In anti-stomach cancer polysaccharide rabbit serum, was found a precipitin which reacted with stomach cancer polysaccharide, and this antibody was absorbed with D-galactosamine hydrochloride and D-glucosamine hydrochloride. This antiserum did not react with purified O(H), Lea, A and B substances.
2) O(H) substance in stomach cancer polysaccharide had generally weaker activity than that of polysaccharide from normal human stomach linings. The stomach cancer polysaccharides which had especially weak O(H) activity and strong Lea activity, and which had almost lost both O(H) and Lea activity strongly reacted with anti-stomach cancer polysaccharide rabbit serum. When O(H) substance was treated with an enzyme from a certain strain of Cl, tertium which decomposes O(H) and Lea substances and common antigenic substance between blood group substances and Diplococcus pneumoniae Type XIV, it came to precipitate with the antiserum mentioned above. It was subsequently estimated that so far as the stomach cancer polysaccharide concerns, an antigenicity which remains latent covered by other antigenic determinants in the normal stomach tissue, would be manifested in cancer tissue owing to abnormal proliferation.
3) Polysaccharide from placental tissue reacted with anti-stomach cancer polysaccharide rabbit serum. And in antiserum, obtained by immunizing rabbit with this polysaccharide, was produced a precipitin, which reacted with enzyme-treated O(H) substance, and absorbed with D-galactosamine hydrochloride and D-glucosamine hydrochloride.
