As a part of Dow's 2015 Sustainability Goals, Dow Water & Process Solutions have been involved in developing solutions for economically viable desalination. The integrated membrane system (IMS) is an integral part of solutions to lower desalination costs and to make an RO process more affordable.
In order to enhance the IMS, the larger membrane area SFP-2880 UF module was developed. This module is an ideal choice for IMS with capacities greater than 50 m3/h. Larger and longer, 8 inch diameter and 80 inch in length, together with an increase in packing density of 10,000 fibers, this module offers the highest effective membrane area of the DOW™ Ultrafiltration modules. The SFP-2880 contributes to a more economical membrane system design.
