抄録

The present experiment covers the psychophysical characteristics of single ink halftone printing, for visually represented density of human perception.
As the screen ruling increases the visually represented density of human perceptions is inclined to rise higher, the above expeiment leads to establish the relationships among luminous reflectance Y, the optical density and visually represented density. It was also tried on visually represented density by various patterns and by Maxwell disk.
As the result of the work mentioned above, the visually represented density of halftone printing is capable of being close to the value of luminous reflectance and optical density. It is obvious that visually represented density obtained by halftone printing differs from that of Maxwell disk, though the percentage is the same.
