Koyo Ozaki's The Confession of Two Nuns was studied here as an attempt to analize the relation between the author and his work from the view of fictional speech before and after 1890. Compared with Kana-Soshi and other contemporary novels, the feature of description in the work was that characters' inner speech was at the same level of the author's and descriptive style had something to do with content.
