Soon after their first meeting in 1900 when she was 23 years old, Akiko fell into love with Tekkan Yosano. Her love songs were collected in the volume of Midare Gami. It was wrong that she composed these love songs because of her love. Instead, her songs led her toward love first and then it caused her to compose songs. The relation between the two was relative. 1. Under Tohson's influence, she began to write her poems in which she was looking for love. 2. She felt her sin, because she betrayed the former lover, Tetsunan Kohno and Tekkan's wife, in contrast to the case of Tomiko Yamakawa who felt her sin also when she married her fianc6 and gave up Tekkan, "Her Star" and his group of Myojo. 3.Akiko's word "yami" was an expression of her joyous and heavenly love far from sin. The word reflected her repentance but it changed the situation. 4. Another chance of her words revolution was 1904 when she wrote humanistic antiwar poem "Kimi Shinitamo koto nakare" (Don't Die, My Dear). In her compensation for abandance of her own family, she denied the nation and the emperor and returned home as a heroine.
