抄録
We isolated 108 species of molds Rhizopus from soils, decayded sweet potatoes and decayed straws etc., and selected among them one mold which had powerfully saccharifying ability of starch. It is most closed to Rhizopus javanicus TAKEDA which has been used in amylo process for alchol fermentation in Japan, but growing states of these molds are different in inulin, ammonium nitrate and glycocoll, and the saccharifying power of this mold is superior 5_??_7% to that of Rhizopus javanicus TAKEDA.
We decided this mold as a variety of Rhizopus javanicus Takeda, and named Rhizopus javanicus var. kawasakiensis nov. var.
