Remote sensing technology has a 50-year history in the field of satellite remote sensing, and many research achievements have been accumulated. These technologies are expected to be utilized in the field of remote sensing using drones, but it seems that the accumulated knowledge has not been fully utilized. Depending on the purpose of the shooting, it is necessary to select the wavelength, determine the resolution, set the flight altitude, process the images, and perform correction processing, and these know-hows have not been established in the drone industry. In this paper, we summarize the knowledge and human resources required for remote sensing using drones, and explain the necessity of research that collaborates with multiple fields and the need for cross-disciplinary human resource development.
