In general, fuzzy information such as human relationships can be effectively analyzed by applying fuzzy theory. The responses to each item obtained from surveys, etc., are summarized in a fuzzy contingency table. From the contingency table, we can analyze similarities and relationships among items effectively. In this paper, we show that the dissimilarity calculated from the Jaccard index corresponds to the natural distance, using a fuzzy contingency table with Minimum t-norm and Lukasiewicz t-norm. That is to say, Jaccard index with Minimum t-norm and Lukasiewicz t-norm can be called “distance-type similarity coefficient”.
