Hybrid materials in various scales can give synergy performance than the single material systems. Here we report the successful developments in hybrid mechanoluminescence (ML) materials. ML materials are known to emit light due to the application of mechanical stress. According to our knowledge, the non-destructive ML intensities of the materials reported till now are hardly repeated and too weak, so that no practical application of this phenomenon has been realized so far. In order to explore the application of ML, developing of new materials that can show repetitive ML with undiminished intensity is one of the most important issues. In this paper, we report the new development in non-destructive ML materials using a hybrid system combining ultrafine ceramic ML particles with optical polymers.
