The rechargeable battery becomes very important due to the development of electronic devices and electrical vehicle. Li3V2(PO4)3 is one of the candidate for the cathode materials of lithium ion battery. Solid state method and sol-gel method were used to prepare the materials. To increase the electrical conductivity, carbon was coated on the surface of LVP. The samples were analyzed by TGA, XRD, and FE-SEM. CR 2032 coin cells were assembled for the electrochemical test. Maccor series 4000 was used to test the cyclic performance of the coin cell.
