A 57-year-old male was admitted for the work up of liver function. He was living in Yamanasi area more than 40 years ago. On admission he had no symptom. Laboratory tests revealed elevated ALT/AST levels with HCV antibody positive. Both abdominal ultrasonography and CT showed reticular and hexagonal shadows. Laparoscopic findings revealed irregular and rough surface of liver and biopsy showed scattering Schistosomiasis Japonica eggs and focal necrosis with chronic active hepatitis.
