This paper deals with 'SOUVERAINETE' for the purpose of clearing up the meaning of sport, which is socially held in common, by analyzing ‘tears' in sport.
The construction of meaning of sport has various aspects. The routine life called "paramount reality" is the most important one of all.
Considerations on 'Tears5' and 'Play' by BATAILLE and CAILLOIS teach us that sport has an important meaning as the passage to 'SOUVERAINETE' in this aspect. From now on, we must refine this concept of 'SOUVERAINETE' more in order to clarify the meaning of sport.
This paper leaves much to be further discussed, however, it is necessary to concider this conceptin order to understand sport sociologically.
