The ΔE-effect for sevural polyetrystalline materials was investigated at various temperatures. And also the change in the Young's moduluss with the tempcrature variation was studied. The ΔE-etfect was definitely positive; that is, the Young's modulus increases with the magnetization. The complicated variation of elastic properties with the change of temperature was found to be due to the ΔE-effect. There is no difference between the elastic properties of magnetically saturated ferromagnetic and of other substances. ΔS(S=1/E) attains its maximum at a certain tentpersture, eharacteristic of each substance, and vanishes at. the Corie temperature. For the substance, whose magnetic anisotropy disappears at a certain temperature, the effect is at its maximum in the neighbourhood of this temperature. It was also proved that cementite. shows a considerable.ΔE-effect
