To achieve all participation in TQM (Total Quality Management), it is essential to grasp the overall picture of one’s organization and understand the role of the company within society. Grasping the company’s overall picture clarifies the role of each individual businessperson, leading to heightened awareness of their own work and an understanding of its meaning.
In this paper, we will be taking the manufacturing production site (in Japanese ‘ Gemba’ ) as it’s starting point, and consider the expanding scope of its focus: operations, workplace, and organization.
As the core tool of this pathway, we will apply three process analyses.
