Abstract

We first introduce a city walk event “100ninmap (Hyaku-Nin-Map, which means one hundred people map) in Kyoto”. In the event, participants send out their feelings with a smartphone while walking around a city, and we create “feeling maps” by summarizing them. As we built system to create maps and held the first event in downtown Kyoto, we report the detailed methods and results of them in this paper. Following that, we discuss the significations and further prospects of the project. Firstly, we can design a new map for sightseeing or walking around the city. Secondly, we can construct a common method for city walk events or workshops to find potentials and problems of the city. Thirdly, we can utilize our system for information sharing system in case of disaster. Finally, we can analyze the data to get various knowledge.
