Abstract

At Yokohama Station Area, Local administration has tried to control private construction since1986 by using the system called “Machi dukuri kyogi”. It requires constractors discuss the constract plan with local administration at an early stage as much as possible. This paper clarifies effectiveness and change of “Machi dukuri kyogi”. Through the literature search, survey of offered document, site survey and hearing to city officials. It had found that the system had succeeded in inducing 60% of construction plan and there is a possibility the system is expanding the range of discuss.
