Abstract

"Kyu Yame Gun-Yakusho" in Yame Fukushima Preservation District is a large-scale wooden building built in the Meiji period. The project to place the fields under crop we focus on has been carried out in the outside space of the building for about two years. The purpose of the project is to develop "Kyu Yame Gun-Yakusho" into a park-like place of the traditional Yame town. In this paper, we report the process of the project and consider the effects of the project. As a result, we found out that the project is an effective by the point that one's encounter and exchange with somebody are suggested.
