Abstract

The Great Hanshin Earthquake caused a lot of damage to the city between Hanshin in January 17 of 1995. The railway damage due to this earthquake was serious, and not only the railway track but also damage concerning the station was extensive. It can be said that the necessity for make the station the basic point of the revival community design with rebuilding station, work on a creative revival jointly by three people (the entrepreneur, the administration, and the resident), and aim at new relation making between station and community design is high. This study was aimed to clarify the earthquake revival process from the aspect of relation between rebuilding station and reviving community design.
