Abstract

Many disaster victims have been living in the Temporary Housing (Temporary Living Center) after the Indian Ocean Tsunami in Meulaboh, Aceh, Indonesia. Among many temporary housings constructed, it can be generally classify into two, constructed by "Government of Indonesia (PU)" and "NGO and other". In the period living in the temporary housing is one of the most importance period for disaster victims to recover from the disaster. To create and sustain the better living environment for this 2 to 3 years would help disaster victims to achieve better recovery process. In this paper presents the influence on people's living environment in temporary housing by its design and arrangement.
