Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was applied to fractionation of urine protein. Basic examininations on pretreatment of urine sample, gel concentration, reducing process and electrophoresis were carried out and their optimal conditions were described.
By this method, 8 bands were detected in normal urine and 21 bands in abnormal urine. The molecular weight of these proteins was presumed to range from 250, 000 to 10, 000.
