Abstract
Safety is the first requirement of any mechanical systems. In order to assure the safety, several research and development have been carried out and some of them are well-organized and become international standards. By the way, due to the rapid development of computer technology, many mechanical systems are controlled by computers. This makes the mechanical system complex in safety issues. To tackle such complexity, the hybrid dynamical system theory could be one key issue. In this paper, the possibility of applications of hybrid dynamics system theory to the safety of machinery is discussed based on the international standards and seismic analysis.
