This paper describes a design method to determine gains of output and/or error signal feedback controller. Those parameters are provided as feedback gains of an integral-type optimal serve controller designed for a single-input-single-output plant that is appropriately expressed in a state-space representation. The resultant controller does not require states observer to guarantee theoretical stability and provide control performance of close loop system as well as state feedback ones with observer. And it is possible to be or reduce the controller to an I-PD one in some situation, moreover it can be transformed to a one-degree-of-freedom PID controller and a PI-D controller.
