The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of classroom observation for students who aim to be English teachers by analyzing their awareness of the students who have started taking teacher training courses. Classroom observations were set three times during “English teaching training I” for each school level; elementary school, junior high school, and high school. The students observed classes in high school in May and elementary school in July though a junior high school teacher was invited to the university and showed a class video due to the schedule of the junior high school. After each observation, the students wrote reflection papers. By analyzing the reflection of each observation, effects of the class observation were considered. First, the students were motivated to become English teachers. Second, the students'focus in observing classes expanded not only on the class itself, but to students of the classes as well. Finally, the students expressed their own opinions about the classes they observed.
