The aim of this study is to clarify the effect on fresh air load reduction by setting up the heat exchanger and CO_2 sensor on external insulation buildings in Kushiro, Obihiro and Hakodate. The results are as follows; (1) On the building renewed by using external insulation, air conditioning system reusing the existing duct cuts fresh air load by 25.6 percentage. (2) It is necessary to control the volume of ventilation according to the use condition of the buildings, therefore CO_2 sensor is effective in reducing fresh air load.
