The continuous measurements of indoor air quality and thermal environment, aimed at obtaining the way of maintenance of sanitary environment, in nine hospitals (A-I) were carried out from November 16 to December 22, 2005. Although the mass concentration of suspended particle, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide concentration, air temperature, air velocity satisfied with environment management standard of "Law for Maintenance of Sanitary environment in Buildings ", almost all relative humidity was lower than the standard. Moreover, it became clear that the concentration of suspended particle larger than 2 micrometers in waiting rooms was greatly influenced by the number of visitors. Further studies on airborne microbe which is related to the particles larger than 2 micrometers are necessary.
