It is well known from fundamental experiments that colonies of fungi exhibit diverse growth patterns on the surface of agar plates by feeding on the nutrient. In order to predict the diverse growth patterns of fungal colonies from a theoretical stand point, various numerical models have been proposed. The purpose of this research is to develop new reaction - diffusion model which describe the morphological diversity of fungal colony patterns on agar plate. The predicted results by proposed reaction - diffusion model were reasonably consistent with the experimental results.
