The purpose of this research is to evaluate the combined effects of power-saving techniques installed in a poor insulation residence in winter. A thermal manikin was used to conduct all of experiments. The effects of improved indoor thermal environment was observed in the cases of ‘double window with curtain and cork mat' and ‘double glazing with curtain and cork mat'. In addition to that, power savings of air conditioning was realized by increasing clothing value from 0.80 clo to 1.08 clo.
