In this paper, the authors studied the thermal environment by the insulation performance and the effect of applying Phase Change Material (PCM) to reduce heating energy in the winter by using simulations. Firstly, it was showed that the insulation performance levels equivalent to ZEH, HEAT20 G1 and G2 were not enough. In addition, the effect of heating load reduction and the improvement of thermal comfort by applying PCM was verified.
