The effect of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) over work clothes on the cooling effect of a misting fan was measured with a low-cost thermal mannequin in hot outdoor conditions. Heat flux and temperature were measured at 8 points on the mannequin. PPE reduced the cooling effect by 12W/m2 on average.
