This study investigated measures against a cold environment by workers at construction sites. The results showed that wearing Personal Thermal Management Systems (PTMs) such as infrared reflective underwear and jackets contributed to increased clothing insulation and increased Duration Limited Exposure (DLE) for work even in the coldest mid-winter season in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
