A context-dependent agent (CDA) has the ability to change its controller depending on the system status. We have designed a CDA for real-time scheduling problem of autonomous distributed job-shop manufacturing system, that considers both the buffer usage and the makespan. This paper presents a CDA architecture and results of an extensive evaluation.
