From 2019 to 2020, the author surveyed to investigate the distribution of an exotic reptile Gekko hokouensis in Kuroshio Town ,Kochi Prefecture. Three species of geckos were observed: G.hokouensis, Gekko japonicus, and Gekko tawaensis.
The distribution of G.hokouensis was at two locations．Besides, at one of these locations G.hokouensis was distributed adjacent to the distribution area of G. tawaensis, which is endemic and considered to be a rare species. This is the first report of habitat overlap between G. tawaensis and G.hokouensis.
