The previous researches on the use of LTT (low temperature transformation welding material) as fatigue strength improvement method of attachment joints focused on the fatigue behavior of base plate side weld toe. However, fatigue cracks initiated from attachment side weld toe have been also found in real bridge structures. In this study, applicability of additional welding with LTT for fatigue strength improvement of attachment side weld toe was experimentally examined. Then, the case when the additional welding with LTT applied to both base plate and attachment side weld toes was examined by fatigue tests.
