In the far offing to the east of Kamchatka Peninsula, almost all the red salmon to be caught in drift nets of 14cm. meshes are returning to their mother stream in the same year. These fishes, of the returning age migrate from the southern side of Attu Island of Alleusian Archiperago, via the southern part of the Commandorskie Is., comming down the east coast of the Kamchatka P., to the west coast of it near Ozernaya. During the period of this migration, which takes about 40 to 60 days, the gonad of the fish of 4 years as well as 5 years old increases its weight 2 times for ovary, while for testis 3 times.
