A 56-year old man was admitted to our hospital due to a liver tumor, which was 90 mm in size. The tumor was not clear in the first computed tomography three months before. The tumor consisted of solid and partially cystic components, and was contiguous to the gallbladder wall. Gallbladder cancer with liver abscess, and gallbladder cancer with liver invasion were considered as differentiation. The resection was performed as gallbladder cancer with liver invasion, and it was diagnosed as adenosquamous carcinoma of gallbladder with liver invasion. Because adenosquamous carcinoma of gallbladder is in a stronger tendency of invasion into other organs compared with the biliary cancers of other pathological type, an early diagnosis is important.
