抄録
In Dôkai Bay, Ôe River and Teizan Canal, where muddy sediments develop thickly, the quantity of organic matter decreases in descending order of the sediment layers. However, a clear difference in the quantity of organic matter between upper layer and lower layer of the sediments of Kanmon sea, where the sediments are sandy, is not found. The author believes that a difference in the environment of deposition produced the above mentioned fact.
