An approximative estimation of milk peroxidase-Arakawa's reaction-is described. The method is exceedingly sensitive and rapid, so that it may be used for daily practice. Human milk is called “hyperperoxidatic, ” “normoperoxidatic” or “hypoperoxidatic” or “aperoxidatic” according to the intensity of the Arakawa reaction.
