Abstract
10% NaCl solution was injected intraperitoneally into b-classed rabbits and the blood chloride content was examined at different intervals.
1) The blood chloride content increased soon after the intraperitoncal injection and reached the maximum in 90, 120 or 180 minutes (Control Experiment).
5. Yakriton, subcutaneously used, changed the curve of the blood chloride figures otherwise than in the control experiment.
3. Yakriton, subcutaneously used 75 minutes prior to the intraperitoneal injection of 10% NaCl solution, acted most distinctly to keep the blood chloride content constant and normal. This effect increased in intensity in proportion to the number of units of the hormone.
4. 2 R. A. U. of yakriton kept the blood chloride content almost constant and normal in spite of the intraperitoneal injection of 10% NaCl solution.
