Abstract

In the present experiments I wanted to test the antinephritic effect of yakriton for chromic nephritis in b-classed rabbits. In the experiments subletal dose of potassium bichromate solution subcutaneously injected and daily subcutaneous injection of yakriton was tried. Among different numbers of units (1/2, 1/10 and 1) used, only 1/2 and 1/10 R. A. U. per kilo of body weight were tried. The effect of yakriton upon chromic nephritis was not so satisfactory as in the case of uranyl nephritis, though 1/2 R. A. U. showed a decidedly favourable effect, thus showing again the fact that there is a close relation between the kidney and the liver.
