Abstract
In the present paper the effect of yakriton upon the rate of the elimination of congo red was investigated. An aqueous solution of the dye in the concentration of 1% was injected intravenously in the amount of 2c.c. per kilo of body weight in b-classed rabbits. 1/2 R. A. U. of yakriton was used subcutaneously 5 minutes prior to the injection of the dye. The rate of the elimination of the dye was remarkably accelerated in the case of yakriton. As b-classed animals were used exclusively, the results obtained can be compared more reasonably than in an experiment in which rabbits are, as they may be, used not electively.
