抄録
The significance of the initial pH of medium and a few conditions of the inoculum was studied. (1) The optimum of initial pH was 6.4-6.8,but no considerable change in riboflavin production was found between pH 6-7. (2) One per cent of inoculum was sufficient for over 3-4 days culture. (3) No change in riboflavin production was induced by changes in the media, for the inoculum. (4) When the inoculum cultured for 36 hours was used after 7 or 14 days, the riboflavin production was decreased and the mycelial growth was increased. (5) The riboflavin production was not influenced by successive inoculation with fresh seed. (6) Inoculating one after another using a part of the submerged culture caused no change in the riboflavin production.
