Young white rats were divided into two groups, subsisting on a diet with vitamin E and that lacking it, and observations were made for 180 days. In the group with vitamin E, one mg of vitamin E per day was administered. Increase in the body weight and in the length and weight of bone was more marked in the group with the vitamin than in the other. As to the minerals, increase was found in the amount of Ca, P and Mg.
